According to the said rankings, EMU raised its last year’s score of 69,4 to 79,5, moving from 301-400 band to 201-300 band this year. Appearing in the highest band amongst the other 3 universities from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), EMU became the first from TRNC. On the other hand, in the list that includes 7 universities across the island of Cyprus, EMU was again in the top band and succeeded in being the best university across the island.

According to the rankings, ITU and METU appeared in the 101-200 band being listed as the first among the universities in Turkey. The support EMU offers to its students who are in need, the programs designed for combating poverty, social responsibility projects and studies carried out towards the 1st item in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, “No Poverty” played important role in EMU being listed as the 22nd, with a score of 82, among the other 769 universities which was entitled to be listed in the rankings. 3 universities from TRNC, 1 university from South Cyprus and 42 universities from Turkey appeared in the “No Poverty” rankings.
