Decision of Senate regarding distance education.

Please find below, decision of Senate dated 15.04.2020, regarding assessment and evaluation for the courses that are delivered through distance education

Approved by the majority; upon the request of the Executive Board of Institute of Distance Education, the following decisions regarding distance education are taken on the condition of being limited to 2019 – 2020 Academic Year:

1.      With the consideration of hands-on training, that cannot be realized through distance education, being suitable to be delivered at appropriate time within the framework of an intensive academic calendar specific to each program, the final examinations are to be carried out at class at the end of the semester as specified in the Academic Calendar when the face-to-face education commences. The effect of final examination on overall performance should not exceed 50%.  Faculty/School Boards are to be given authorization for the actions to be applied regarding students who will not be able to attend the face-to-face examinations,

2.      Assessment and evaluation is to be carried out electronically for the courses that are delivered through distance education (in the format of assignment, project, thesis, applied study, portfolio, oral examination, written examination, central examination, etc.),

3.      In the event of not being able to realizing face-to-face education at the end of the semester, Final Examinations are to be carried out electronically as specified in Article 2.
